The Tama Building Analyst is a tool for systematically collecting and analyzing building conditions or damage based on the automated analysis of drone images. The Tama Building Analyst uses the collected data and provides valuable tools for the automated analysis of drone data to minimize manual extraction efforts.
In the current version 1.0, the focus is primarily on the extraction and quantification of façade cracks and contamination, the detection of joints networks and tiles, the prioritization of thermal data regarding hot spots as well as the annotation and assignment of target classes of detected objects.
The basic process is divided into the areas 1) import (standardized) data, 2) automatic processing of the data regarding the desired features, 3) interactive processing of the objects and 4) export of the results as a report.
The user interface of the Tama Building Analyst offers a lot of room for the visualization of the image data and extracted information. Even for non-georeferenced images, it gives the possibility of quantifying building components and thus enables the export of a table with area information for each object.
The application is designed to support data-based recommendation and decision-making processes by reviewers and administrators. The list of supported functions is constantly expanding and can also be modified individually by an adaptation project.
So far the application has been tested for certain materials (e.g., bricks, concrete, roughcast, stone), additional surface materials can be added by available sample data.
